Understanding Visit Pricing and Doctor Earnings on Docio
A practical guide to consultation fees, catalogue prices, commission and payment arrangements, helping doctors assess a Docio visit before submitting a proposal.

Before offering a patient visit, you need to understand the financial side of the work: how the price is built, what the earnings figure includes and how payment reaches you.
Docio brings the proposed visit total and expected doctor earnings into the proposal builder. Reviewing them together helps you assess a suitable visit alongside the time, travel and professional responsibilities involved.
Build the proposal from its separate components
The current proposal builder asks you to enter a consultation fee for that proposal. You then select any clinically appropriate treatment items from the platform’s catalogue, which supplies their individual prices.
Keep these two parts distinct when preparing your offer. Review the selected items and any supervision-time charges shown before checking the total.
The service list supports pricing and documentation. Your clinical judgement, professional scope and available equipment determine which services you can appropriately offer.
Compare the patient total with your expected earnings
The summary shows two figures: Total price and Your earnings. The total is the proposed visit price. The earnings figure applies the platform commission to that total.
Consider the complete commitment alongside that amount: travel in both directions, the consultation and the work needed to complete the visit records. This helps you make a decision based on the proposed work rather than the headline total alone.
Balance realistic fees with a competitive proposal
Patients may receive several treatment proposals for the same request. They can compare the total price, proposed services and doctor information before choosing which proposal to accept.
Set a consultation fee that realistically reflects your time, travel and work, while keeping the overall proposal competitive for the care offered. Review the total from the patient’s perspective and make the included services clear. Aim for a proposal that is both viable for your practice and attractive to a patient comparing options.
Check the applicable commission
Review the total price and expected earnings displayed for each proposal before submitting it. The applicable commission is reflected in the earnings calculation.
Under the Physician Agreement, the commission rate is fixed when you submit the offer and applies to the resulting booking, including additional procedures. You can choose whether to submit.
Record the care actually provided
The proposal is prepared from the information available before the visit. Your assessment may change which treatments are appropriate.
In the treatment-confirmation step, review the proposed items, remove those not provided and add appropriate services from the catalogue where needed. The consultation fee carried into this step is the amount associated with the booking.
Check the resulting total and follow the app’s payment-status instructions. An additional amount may require further patient authentication or payment recovery. Keep changes within the in-app recording and payment process.
This connects the final visit charge to the recorded services and helps you understand why the completed visit amount may differ from the original proposal.
Understand the payment arrangements
Payment is by bank transfer for completed bookings, subject to the notified payment cycle and a valid invoice to Docio. Keep your bank details current.
The Agreement explains invoice requirements, permitted deductions, tax responsibilities, and bank or currency-conversion costs. It does not guarantee the date funds reach your account. Disputes and chargebacks can also affect payment.
The Wallet shows earnings, pending amounts and recent transactions, with an export option for reviewing your records. Docio arranges payouts directly. Use the visit records, payment communications and your bank statement together when reconciling a transfer.
A short checklist before submitting
- Have I checked my consultation fee and every selected treatment item?
- Have I reviewed the total price and the expected earnings shown for this proposal?
- Have I considered travel, consultation and documentation time?
- Is my overall proposal competitive and clear for a patient comparing options?
- Do I understand how treatment changes can affect the final visit amount?
- Do I understand the invoice requirements, payment cycle and my own costs?
Docio gives you pricing information before you offer the visit and records to review afterwards. Suitable requests, patient acceptance and earnings vary; the Agreement provides no minimum booking or earnings guarantee.
